ANCIENT EGYPT

Limited number of places still available - last chance to book!

 OFFER CLOSES FEB 29th

Following the success of the last magazine week in Cairo, here is another opportunity to spend a week in Egypt in the company of AE Editor, Bob Partridge, Deputy Editor, Peter Phillips and Egypt Correspondent Ayman Wahby Taher in a special tour organised in conjunction with ANCIENT WORLD TOURS. This trip will be ideal for those who may not have visited Luxor before, or who do not like travelling on their own.

We will be based in Luxor and staying at the superb Winter Palace Hotel (Garden Pavilions) almost next to the Temple of Luxor.

During a busy but exciting week, we will visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor, and also some of the important Mortuary Temples on the West Bank, including the Ramesseum, and the Temples of Hatshepsut, Merenptah and Sety I.

There will also be a special day-trip to the Temple of Hathor at Dendera and of Sety I at Abydos.

We will visit some of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings (including the Tomb of Ay in the Western Valley) and also some of the tombs of the nobles on the West Bank.

There be plenty of free time too, giving the opportunity to visit the splendid Luxor Museum and the Mummification Museum, to visit other sites, to make return visits to the sites you have already visited, or perhaps just to shop in the bazaars.

Bob, Peter and Ayman will share their experiences, knowledge and enthusiasm for ancient Egypt with guests during the trips, but also in some evening lectures and discussions.

The flight to Egypt will be from London Heathrow (a limited number of flights from Manchester and Gatwick will also be available). The cost will be £999 (single supplement £98).
