Editor

Bob Partridge

Bob took over the Editorship of Ancient Egypt in May 2004. He retired early from a career in banking and now devotes all of his time to Egyptology, having been studying ancient Egypt for many years and from a very young age.

He lectures on ancient Egypt to Egyptology Societies within the U.K and abroad and is on the Committee of the Northern Branch of the Egypt Exploration Society and Chairman of the Manchester Ancient Egypt Society (being the one of the largest and oldest of the many provincial Egyptology Societies in the UK).

Bob organises specialist trips to Egypt to visit the main, but also some of the more obscure and less visited sites, acting as team leader and is a guest Egyptologist on tours to Egypt for Ancient World Tours.

A keen photographer, Bob runs the Ancient Egypt Picture Library. He has a collection of over 30,000 images of the ancient and more recent sites.
