EDITOR: Robert Partridge

Bob combines the editorship of ANCIENT EGYPT with a variety of Egyptology-connected interests.

He is a regular lecturer to many of the numerous Egyptology Societies around the UK. With an extensive collection of photographs taken in Egypt over many years, he runs the Ancient Egypt Picture Library and he is the author and publisher of several books on Ancient Egypt.

He travels to Egypt regularly and occasionally acts as a specialist guide on organised tours. He has provided information and advice to the makers of TV documentary films on ancient Egypt, appearing in a number of the programmes and he is the Chairman of the Manchester Ancient Egypt Society.

DEPUTY EDITOR: Peter Phillips

Peter has written and published books on Ancient Egypt. He lectures on the subject to Egyptology Societies in the UK and is Treasurer of the Manchester Ancient Egypt Society. He is a retired IT professional and has a particular interest in Ancient Egyptian architecture.

CONSULTANT EDITOR: Professor Rosalie David OBE

Professor David is Director of the KNH Centre for Biomedical and Forensic Studies in Egyptology at the University of Manchester. She is also Director of the Certificate in Egyptology and the UK’s first woman professor in the subject, with many publications and TV appearances to her name.

About Ancient Egypt Consultant Editor PROFESSOR ROSALIE DAVID

EDITORIAL ASSISTANT: Victor Blunden

Victor has studied Egyptology at the Universities of Manchester and Liverpool. He now lectures for the University of Manchester, the WEA and also to Egyptology Societies in the UK. His main areas of interest are Egyptian religion and art. Victor’s specific roles for ANCIENT EGYPT are reviewing Egyptology web sites, maintaining the information on Egyptology Societies and the updating the Event’s Diary.

EGYPTIAN CORRESPONDENT: Ayman Wahby Taher

AE Egyptian correspondent, Ayman Wahby Taher holds a degree from Cairo University in Archaeology and recently completed his PhD on the inscriptions on the screen walls in the temples of Denderah and Edfu. He was chosen as a Griffiths Institute Scholar to study and research his PhD in Oxford. He is currently a full time lecturer in Egyptology at the University of Mansoura, Egypt. Prior to this he worked for the Supreme Council of Antiquities for seven years, under the guidance of Dr. Zahi Hawass.
